GDPR Privacy statement. May 2018

The CornerStone Foundation desires to be transparent and open, because we consider clear cooperation and openness as high priorities.

We are responsible for your personal data

CornerStone Foundation is responsible for the processing of any personal data sent to us, and considers the secure handling of personal data of high importance. This means, among other things, that when dealing with confidential personal data, we have taken security measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access or theft.

What data will be processed

If you contact us via email, we process your telephone number, email address and your name. If you make a donation, we process your telephone number, email address, name and bank account number.

We use your personal information to provide you with the best possible service

We use your personal data because it is necessary to process your request to receive a newsletter or invitation to an event. Sometimes we also store data because of (legal) financial and fiscal obligations. We process only the personal information necessary for being able to process requests.

We retain your personal information no longer than necessary

Your personal data is kept only for the time required. Our aim is to destroy personal data of relationships once they are no longer relevant. Some data is retained on the basis of a financial and/or tax liability. In that case, your data will be kept for seven years. After this period your personal data will be carefully removed.

You have rights when it comes to your personal data

You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data. Please send an email to [email protected], and we will delete your information as soon as possible. If you make such a request, we will first of all assess whether we can actually meet your request. We cannot process your request if we can't accertain your identity (if we are not sure it is really you who is requesting!) or if you recently (less than six months ago) have made a similar request. There are a number of situations in which we have to refuse the request, for example, if the protection of the rights of third parties weighs heavier. This can occur in cases that your request also contains the personal information of other persons. If we reject the request, we will explain why we unable to comply.

If you have any questions or comments about our Privacy Statement, or about how the CornerStone Foundation handles personal data, please mail us at: [email protected]
