When Orest Murenzi first came to Great Lakes Hospitality Institute, registration for the academic year had already closed. But he didn’t give up—he insisted that GLHI was his last
chance to change his life.
His determination touched us, and we gave him an entrance exam. He passed with flying colors and officially became part of our 2024–2025 student family.
From day one, Orest showed outstanding performance and deep commitment to his studies.
His hard work soon paid off when he secured an internship at Khana Khazana, where, in just
one month, he was hired as a full-time waiter. After nearly a year of dedicated service, his career took off even further—he received an incredible opportunity to work in Qatar, where he is now building a brighter future.
What makes Orest’s story even more special is that he continues to stay in touch with us, sharing how his life is changing. Inspired by his own journey, he even recommended his younger brother to join GLHI, ensuring that opportunity runs in the family.
